About This Tour
The moment you leave Sapa Town and drop down the first switchback into the Muong Hoa Valley — wind in your face, rice terraces opening out below you on both sides, the Hoang Lien Son peaks visible through the morning haze — you understand why we do this tour by motorbike instead of foot. Some landscapes need to be moved through, not just stood in front of. This route covers ground that would take two days on foot, and we do it in one full day at a pace that lets you stop wherever you want a photo, linger in a village, or just sit for a moment above the terraces when the mist is rolling in off Fansipan.
The morning follows the mountain roads through the Muong Hoa Valley, passing the Black H'mong villages of Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai before reaching Ta Van, the Giay minority village, then on to Hau Thao and Giang Ta Chai for photos across the terraces. These are communities our local guides, who grew up in Black H'mong villages along this valley, have known their whole lives. Lunch is at Su Pan village beside the small local market. In the afternoon we ride on to Thanh Kim, a Red Dao village where people still wear traditional costumes and cover their heads with black or red scarves, and — if there's time — Ban Phung, before looping back to Sapa. Pickup is at 8:40 AM; you're back in Sapa Town by around 4:00 PM, in time to catch a bus onward if you need one.
This tour suits people who want to cover serious ground without spending a day on their feet — couples, families with mixed fitness levels, photographers chasing the best light across the terraces, or anyone who has already done a walking trek and wants to see the valley from a different angle. You ride as a passenger; no motorbike licence is needed. Our guides know exactly when to push on and when to pull over. Trekking Tour Sapa is a licensed operator under the Vietnam National Tourism Authority (No. 10-078/2023) — your booking is fully protected.

How It Works
1
Book & confirm — Pay online or message us on WhatsApp. We confirm your booking within 2 hours — you'll receive all the details you need: date, time, pickup point, and what to bring.
2
We pick you up — Your guide arrives at your hotel at 8:40 AM with the motorbike and helmets. Groups are max 12 people — usually 4–8 on most days. And if you get lucky? Sometimes you'll be the only one booked that day, which means you get the guide entirely to yourself — a private experience at the group price.
3
Ride together — You share the route with other travelers. Same guide, same valleys, same motorbike roads — just more people to share it with. Great for solo travelers who want to meet others.
4
Back by around 4:00 PM — At your hotel in Sapa Town. Plenty of time to rest, shower, or catch an evening bus back to Hanoi.
Best for: couples, solo travelers, families, photographers, or anyone who wants to see Sapa's most scenic valleys without a full day of hiking.
1
Book your group — Tell us your group size. Larger groups pay less per person — 4 people at $75/person is our most popular private option for families and small groups.
2
Dedicated guide, your pace — No strangers. Your guide focuses entirely on your group. Stop longer at photos, skip sections you don't want, adjust the route.
3
Flexible timing — Want an earlier start? A different lunch spot? We can customize the day around your schedule and preferences.
4
Private transport throughout — Your own vehicle picks up and drops off. No sharing with other groups at any point.
Best for: couples and photographers who want to stop on every ridge, families who want their own guide and pace, or anyone who wants the full valley experience without sharing it with strangers.

Why Trek With Us
Born in These Mountains
Our local guides grew up in Black H'mong villages along the Muong Hoa Valley. They don't just know the trails; they know the families, the fields, and the stories behind every turn.
Routes the Crowds Don't Take
Because our community roots run deep, we access trails through private farmland and minority villages that mainstream operators simply cannot enter. You won't be walking the same path as 50 other tour groups.
Licensed & Fully Transparent
We hold a Vietnam National Tourism Authority operator license (10-078/2023/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT). Price shown is the price you pay — no surprise fees, no hidden commissions, no tipping pressure.
Small Groups — Real Attention
Maximum 12 people per group tour. Every private tour is one-guide, one-group. You're never lost in a crowd, never rushed. We move at your pace and stop wherever you want a photo.
Motorbike To Rice Fields, Mountains & Valleys · March 2026
★★★★☆
"The ride down into the Muong Hoa Valley with the rice terraces on both sides is something I'll remember for a long time. Our guide stopped at a spot above Lao Chai that wasn't on any map — just pulled over, killed the engine, and let us sit with the view for 10 minutes. The one thing I'd flag: dress warmer than you think you need to on the mountain roads. I underestimated the wind."

"The stop in Thanh Kim was the highlight for me — a Red Dao village I'd never heard of before and wouldn't have found on my own. The women there were wearing their traditional costumes with the red head scarves, and our guide introduced us and translated. They laughed at how amazed we were by the embroidery. That kind of moment doesn't happen on a bus tour."

"We did a walking trek the day before and our legs were finished, so we booked this as a recovery day — and it turned out to be the best day in Sapa. The pace on the motorbike is just right for seeing everything. Lunch at the valley restaurant was a proper meal — grilled pork, fresh greens, rice, all cooked by the family. We stayed an extra 30 minutes just sitting in the sun before riding back."
