About This Trek
There's a moment at Silver Waterfall when you're standing at the base looking up at 100 metres of water coming off the O Quy Ho Pass, and the spray is getting on your camera lens, and you realise there's absolutely no way to photograph this properly — you just have to stand there. That's how this day starts. Silver Waterfall (Thac Bac) is the most dramatic waterfall in the Sapa area and we reach it before most other tour groups arrive.
After Silver Waterfall we drive back toward Sapa and then walk in to Love Waterfall (Thac Tinh Yeu) through 3 km of old-growth forest. The contrast is immediate — from an open road waterfall to a forest path that gets quieter with every step. Love Waterfall is smaller but harder to reach and completely surrounded by trees. We pass through a Black H'mong settlement on the way in where I know several families. We stop long enough to actually see something, not just check a box. Lunch is at a family's house near the trail.
In the afternoon I take you to a smaller waterfall that doesn't appear on any tourist map — a hidden cascade I discovered while guiding a private group years ago. The access trail is unmarked and you won't find it on Google Maps. This is what makes the tour "unlimited" — we don't stop at the obvious ones. Our guides Tzu Hang and Lo Hu are both Black H'mong from the Muong Hoa Valley, Lao Cai Province. Trekking Tour Sapa holds a Vietnam National Tourism Authority license (No. 10-078/2023).

Full Day Itinerary
Route: Sapa Town → Silver Waterfall (O Quy Ho Pass) → Love Waterfall (Forest Trail) → Lunch → Hidden Waterfall → Return | ~10–12 km / 6–7 miles · full day
08:00 AM
Hotel Pickup — Your Hotel in Sapa Town
We pick you up at your hotel anywhere in Sapa Town — or meet us at the Trekking Tour Sapa Office, 105 Thach Son Street. Early start to arrive at Silver Waterfall before the tour buses.
08:45 AM
Silver Waterfall (Thac Bac) — O Quy Ho Pass
Silver Waterfall is 100 metres high and drops off the O Quy Ho Pass in a single plunge. The sound hits you first, then the spray. We arrive early before the main tourist coaches. Your guide takes you to the best viewpoints and tells you the local history — this area was used during the French colonial period as a highland retreat. About 45 minutes at the falls.
10:00 AM
O Quy Ho Pass Viewpoint
On the drive back from Silver Waterfall we stop at the O Quy Ho Pass viewpoint — one of the best panoramic views in the Sapa area, looking out over the Muong Hoa Valley and toward Fansipan. On clear mornings you can see the mountain summit.
10:30 AM
Love Waterfall (Thac Tinh Yeu) — Forest Trail
Love Waterfall is reached by a 3 km forest trail that gets quieter with every step away from the road. We pass through a small Black H'mong settlement where your guide knows the families. The waterfall itself sits in a natural bowl surrounded by old-growth trees. Smaller than Silver Waterfall, completely different atmosphere — genuinely beautiful. About 45 minutes each way on the trail, with time at the falls.
13:00 PM
Lunch — Village Family Home
Lunch at a family's house near the Love Waterfall area. Home-cooked dishes — whatever the family has prepared that morning. Rest here before the afternoon section.
14:30 PM
Hidden Local Waterfall — Guide's Secret Spot
The third waterfall on this tour isn't on any map or tourist website. Your guide discovered it while leading private groups. The access trail is unmarked. The waterfall itself is modest in size but the setting is extraordinary — you're unlikely to see another person here. This is what makes the tour "unlimited."
17:00 PM
Return to Sapa Town
Transport brings you back to your hotel or our office (105 Thach Son Street). Full day out — budget for a good dinner tonight.
Bring waterproof shoes — spray at Silver Waterfall and the forest trail to Love Waterfall can be wet. The hidden waterfall trail involves some scrambling. Not recommended in flip-flops. Walking poles available at our office.

How It Works
1
Book & confirm — Pay online or message us on WhatsApp. We confirm your booking within 2 hours — you'll receive all the details you need: date, time, pickup point, and what to bring.
2
We pick you up — Your guide arrives at your hotel at 9:30 AM. Groups are max 12 people — usually 4–8 on most days. And if you get lucky? Sometimes you'll be the only one booked that day, which means you get the guide entirely to yourself — a private experience at the group price.
3
Trek together — You share the route with other travelers. Same guide, same villages, same experience — just more people to share it with. Great for solo travelers.
4
Back by 3:00 PM — Plenty of time for a rest, shower, or dinner before your evening plans.
Best for: seniors, solo travelers, couples, or anyone who wants to see Sapa without a challenging hike.
1
Book your group — Tell us your group size. Larger groups pay less per person — 4 people at $38/person is our most popular private option for families and small groups.
2
Dedicated guide, your pace — No strangers. Your guide focuses entirely on your group. Stop longer at photos, skip sections you don't want, adjust the route.
3
Flexible timing — Want an earlier start? A different lunch spot? We can customize the day around your schedule and preferences.
4
Private transport throughout — Your own vehicle picks up and drops off. No sharing with other groups at any point.
Best for: families traveling with elderly parents, couples who want the guide entirely to themselves, or anyone with mobility concerns who needs a fully flexible pace.

Why Trek With Us
Born in These Mountains
Our guides — Tzu Hang and Lo Hu — grew up in Black H'mong villages along the Muong Hoa Valley. They don't just know the trails; they know the families, the fields, and the stories behind every turn.
Routes the Crowds Don't Take
Because our community roots run deep, we access trails through private farmland and minority villages that mainstream operators simply cannot enter. You won't be walking the same path as 50 other tour groups.
Licensed & Fully Transparent
We hold a Vietnam National Tourism Authority operator license (10-078/2023/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT). Price shown is the price you pay — no surprise fees, no hidden commissions, no tipping pressure.
Small Groups — Real Attention
Maximum 12 people per group tour. Every private tour is one-guide, one-group. You're never lost in a crowd, never rushed. We move at your pace and stop wherever you want a photo.
"We were at Silver Waterfall before any other tourists arrived. The spray hits you from 30 metres away — incredible. The forest trail to Love Waterfall is a completely different experience — quiet, cool, mossy. But the highlight was the hidden third waterfall. We were the only people there. The guide scrambled up ahead to show us the best angle. Worth every cent."

★★★★☆
"Good tour, would book again. Silver Waterfall is genuinely impressive — bring a rain jacket because you will get wet. The forest trail to Love Waterfall took longer than expected (maybe 45 min each way, not 30) but the path is beautiful and worth it. One thing I'll mention: the road to Silver Waterfall is quite steep and winding — if you get carsick, take something beforehand."

★★★★★
"I came to Sapa specifically for the waterfalls and this tour covered everything. The guide knew which time to arrive at Silver Waterfall to avoid the crowds. The hidden waterfall in the afternoon was completely unexpected — nobody else there, just us and the sound of water. Lunch at the family's house was delicious. This is the best waterfall tour I've found anywhere in Vietnam."
