Itinerary

Day 1: Sapa – Suoi Ho – Ma Tra – Ta Phin (about 14 Km, 5 hours)

The tour begins at 9 am. Trekkingtoursapa’s guide will meet you at your hotel in Sapa town or in front of Sapa’s main church.

After a short introduction, we will walk 5 minutes to a small trail where you will get to see the cardamom trees in the small valleys (one of the most precious fruit in Sapa) and then hiking down to Suoi Ho, a small village of Black Hmong minority (the houses are old and small).

You are meeting some animals used by local people, such as the water buffalo, chickens, dogs, pigs, etc. You will see the beautiful landscape of rice terrace fields and mountains.

We will then continue the trekking on a small road (inside the rice paddies) to Ma Tra village, where we will have lunch at a small restaurant run by a traditional Hmong family with an outdoor patio with amazing views.

After lunch, we will go to Ta Phin village, where you will see both Black Hmong and Red Dao minorities.

The Hmong have unique marriage traditions; the Red Dao are known for their expertise in herbal medicine and for using plants from the land to treat many illnesses.

You will also get to see Ta Phin Cave Cave which goes very deep into the mountains, as well as see the women make brocade products to sell.

Day 2: Ta Phin – Phin Ho – Lu Khau – Suoi Thau (about 15 Km, 5.3 hours)

After having breakfast at the homestay. We will continue on our way.

You will see nearby individuals’ genuine way of life as you stroll along the trails. You will likewise get to partake in the excellence of the environmental elements.

After a half-hour, you will start your tough climb to get up and close with the regular marvels of Sapa. This 2.5 hours excursion will take you to exhaustive mountains, valleys, woods, and terraced rice fields.

You will arrive at Phin Ho town, situated on Ta Phin and Ban Khoang cooperative line.

This area offers you an all-encompassing perspective on Ban Khoang valley. You can partake in the environmental factors while savoring a flavorful lunch with a neighborhood family.

After completing lunch, you will walk downhill through the paddy fields to Lu Khau town, where you will be energetically invited by the Red Dao and Blue Hmong individuals.

There is a salmon homestead where you will encounter the salmon very close.

Your journey will progress with a trail to Suoi Thau town in the late evening.

You will check in with your Red Dao for a night’s visit.

You might connect with your Red Dao, partake in cooking, and value the delicious nearby food.  You might rest for the night after supper.

Day 3: Suoi Thau – Gia Thau – Kim Ngan – Ta Giang Phinh – Sapa (about 12 Km, 3 hours)

In the first part of the day, you will awaken to some tea and breakfast, giving you enough energy to begin your trip. Toward the beginning of the day, you will take a short journey around Suoi Thau village, where you might notice the everyday existence of the Red Dao individuals.

Next, we will pass by Gia Thau town to see huge terraced rice fields. You will then, at that point, arrive at Kim Ngan town. Here, you will partake in an excursion with a nearby family and the awesome normal magnificence of the setting.

After lunch, you will follow a short, rugged trail to Ta Giang Phinh town to see rice fields and the Buddha’s Hand mountain. You will arrive at the focal point of Ta Giang Phinh village after one more hour’s journey. Here you will visit the place of a neighborhood Blue Hmong to learn about the distinctions between the time-honored traditions and outfits of the Red Dao and Black Hmong individuals.

A vehicle will return you to Sapa town. On the way, you will get to take pictures of the Cold Waterfall, and you will arrive in Sapa at around 3 pm. End of the tour.

(The tour will end at about 15:30 in Sapa town, so you can book a bus back to Hanoi or somewhere after that)

I have been traveling South East Asia for 6 months, Vietnam for over 4 months and this was one of my best experiences so far. We started in the south and I have found that this country just gets more and more beautiful the further north we go. I had seen pictures of Sapa and knew I wanted to take my daughter when she came to visit. I usually avoid guided tours and prefer to do things alone, finding my own way. But I was really keen to learn about the Hmong ethnic minority so I decided to book a trek. That's when I found Sinh, and I'm so very glad I did! Sinh was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I had so many questions before I booked with him and he patiently and professionally answered them all. The whole experience was absolutely magical. We were a group of 12 and right from the beginning we all bonded so well. The trekking was amazing, the sights, the sounds, and the people. The homestays that Sinh had arranged for us were such beautiful little relaxing retreats after long days trekking, the food was authentic, so tasty and plentiful … and the apple rice wine … wow! Sinh is part of the H’mong ethnic minority, and his English is fantastic which meant that we all got to learn so much about the culture, the people and the land. It was amazing to learn so much about all we were seeing and the daily lives of the people. Sinh's a wonderfully warm person. Very friendly and great fun, his enthusiasm is infectious. Thank you so much Sinh, your knowledge, positive energy, and warm personality made the tour so much more than we could have expected. I can't recommend highly enough !!!

I was Invited to go to Sapa and enjoy the trip organized by Sinh. Expecting nothing as I had heard so many review on how Sapa is boring, I was shocked and amazed by the scenery of Sapa Sinh showed us through the tour. All the terraced rice field, the H’mong children smile, the sky, the cloud and much more than that totally rocks my mind. I am 100% sure that this is the Sapa I was looking for. Natural, untouched, beautiful and ... I guess you will have to discover that by yourself with Sinh (don’t wanna be a spoiler). Pls come and enjoy! Sinh is so far the best Sapa tour guide you need while staying in Sapa! Thank you Sinh, wish you and your family all the best wishes in the future!

Sinh is one of the friendliest persons I’ve ever met. Always with a bright smile, he told us everything important about the area, vegetation, history and the people living in Sa Pa. My favourite moment during our tour was the visit in his family. Sinh explained us a lot things about his ethnic minority and the work in the rice fields. I was really impressed and became so emotional about the stories, that I had to think about this conversation the next days. (Honestly, it was a lifechanging moment for me.) Sinh, thank you for everything. We could never find a better guide than you and I am so thankful to meet you. See you, when I will come back to Vietnam.

We enjoyed the trek with Sinh and his brother. We hiked through corn fields, went over barbed wire fences, crossed streams and balanced our way across muddy rice terraces. Our shoes were dirty compared to other tourists taking tours from other companies... and that's exactly what we were looking for. Thank you Sinh (and baby brother) for the fun experience. Tip: Wear trekking shoes with good grip!

Sometimes when traveling it is difficult to receive an authentic and true experience when going with a guide, but with Sinh it is truly going on an adventure with a long time friend. He was able to accommodate the trip and make it even more enjoyable than expected. I also loved how up front he was with everything and we did not have any surprises regarding trip details. We got to practice some Vietnamese, English and Spanish. He is very sweet and knowledgeable about Sapa and the surrounding areas and he really enjoyed sharing his culture with us. Thank you Sinh for making our experience in Sapa better than we could have hoped. Thank you!

After some easy and effective communication with Sinh to organise this trek, our local guide La met us at our hotel at 9am to get started. The trek was fantastic with La giving us insight into the local minorities, whilst taking us on the road less travelled and moving through the rice fields and villages. We came across very few other tourists as La wanted to take us on the quieter roads/paths. This meant that we saw small villages, families and the way of living. It felt very insightful and was very interesting. As we travelled further, taking in the beautiful scenery we stopped for lunch and enjoyed some fried noodles and vegetables. We finished the tour after crossing a river and visiting another local minority village which was a lot busier and seemed to be where a lot of the tourists went. However, La took as away from the main tracks and we took in the last of the beautiful views before being picked up and taken back to our hotel. This was a brilliant experience! Thank you to La!

Sinh and his wife's trekking experience was exceptional. My boyfriend and I felt an instant connection to both and enjoyed hearing stories and facts about their culture and Sa Pa. We felt very looked after by Sinh and his wife, who obviously knew the land so well. We felt very safe throughout and enjoyed the stunning views. Sinh also provided us with lunch and water, which was an added bonus. We would recommend Sinh for an authentic experience trekking through Sa Pa. We'll never forget such a beautiful day 🙂

Trekking with Sinh was by far the highlight of our stay in Sapa. Sinh is a Hmong guide and while you walk, he will teach you the culture of the different indigenous people of the Sapa valley. As guide he is always trying to give you the best experience and make sure you are safe (rocks are often slippery) Sinh will adapt to all kind of needs. You can do a small trek or, like us, a one day 20km trek. You can even do homestay in a village. You can't go wrong with Sinh

I was so bloody happy to supppry Sinh as a member of the Black H’mong. Many guiding experiences do not benefit the local villages due to foreign ownership. Sinh connected me with other locals and was so fun to run down the trails with. If you’re in shape and looking to get a good sweat and laugh along the way, he’s your man. I spent a total of 4 days with Sinh on various treks throughout the valley and up Fansipan. I feel fortunate to have found him on Airbnb and make a new friend in Sapa.

We did a 2 day, 1 night trek with Sinh and had a truly splendid experience. Sinh met us at the Sapa city center (Notre Dame cathedral), introduced himself and his Wife who is currently his "training guide" explained the trip itinerary and we set off on a beautiful adventure. The terrain was a mixture of rugged side hill trails, small dirt roads, paved (yet remote) scooter trails, and viaduct paths. We never grew tired of the views, unclose encounters with vietnamese farm life was a pleasant surprise, meals were everything we could have hoped for, the homestay was clean, the shower was hot, everybody was friendly. You will notice that Sapa is the center of massive tourist development by huge corporations. It was really cool to support Sinh in his small business entrepreneurship. For a kid who grew up without electricity, in a family of rice farmers it is pretty impressive that he learned english, and built a trekking tour company from scratch. If you would rather hike than sit in a shuttle bus, this is the experience for you.

I did 2days trekking at Sapa with Sinh. It was a light and easy trekking we did due to raining and the road was so muddy. It was unfortunate due to rain and the view was so cloudy. Sinh is a good local guide and can speak English. We also have Chu follow us along the trek and she also helped me during my trekking.
