Lung Cung Peak stands tall at an elevation of 2913 meters, taking its name after a village situated deep within the perilous mountainous area of Tu Le commune, Van Chan district, and Yen Bai province. The Lung Cung trekking route offers a range of terrains that are a feast for the eyes, encompassing stunning mountain forest landscapes.

The primary forest is thick with vegetation and adorned with moss-covered boulders. The valley is lush with green grass and surrounded by majestic mountains and far-off villages with terraced fields. The dense bamboo forest grows so densely that the sky is often veiled. Even the large and ancient apple trees patiently wait for the season to bloom.

The peak of Lung Cung offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view, with unobstructed vistas in every direction, often blanketed by mist. The mountain top boasts vast hills, reminiscent of a colossal football field, where the grass constantly sways in the wind. All these sights and experiences promise to leave an indelible mark on your memory.

Itinerary

Day 0: HANOI – TU LE

18:30: Tour guide picks up guests at the meeting point and travels by high-quality shuttle bus to Tu Le, Yen Bai.
19:00: Depart for Tu Le, approximately 6 hours of travel time.
24:30: Arrive at Tu Le, overnight stay at the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Accommodation: Hotel.
Route of travel: Hanoi – National Highway 32 – Nghia Lo – Tu Le.
Means of transportation: High-quality shuttle bus.

Day 1: TU LE – BASE CAMP

06:00: Wake up, pack personal belongings, and enjoy breakfast.
06:30: The tour guide briefs the itinerary and provides guests with the necessary information for the journey.
07:00: Guests board a shuttle bus to Suoi Tien Guesthouse, Tu Le, and then take a 15km motorbike ride to the trekking point.
08:00: Arrive at the trekking point and leave belongings with a porter.
11:30: Rest and have lunch before continuing the journey.
16:30: Arrive at the base camp and rest after the first day’s journey.
18:00: Have dinner and spend the night in a windproof wooden shelter with blankets and insulated mats.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Accommodation: Wooden shelter.

Day 2: TOUCH THE SUMMIT OF LUNG CUNG

04:30: Wake up, have breakfast, and enjoy a cup of coffee or ginger tea.
05:00: Begin the final trek to touch the summit of Lung Cung Mountain.
07:00: Arrive at the summit of Lung Cung Mountain, rest, take photos, and enjoy the scenery.
10:00: Have lunch at the shelter, pack personal belongings, and descend the mountain.
13:30: Take a motorbike back to the starting point (15km), and then take a shuttle bus back to the hotel.
16:00: Shower and have dinner at the restaurant, review the journey and celebrate the success.
18:00: Board the shuttle bus back to Hanoi.
23:00: Arrive at the meeting point, tour guide says goodbye to guests. End of program.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Accommodation: None.

Things you should bring

Raincost
Trekking shoes (high-top ones are the best) provide a comfortable and snug fit with a good grip sole.
Clothing for the 3-day-2-night mountain trek:
- 2 long pants (preferably quick-drying) and 1 long-sleeved shirt (preferably a thin windbreaker) to wear while trekking.
- 3-4 T-shirts
- A warm, thick jacket for the evenings in the camp.
- A super-thin wool or down jacket to wear while sleeping.
- A pair of beekeeper slippers to wear at the campsite.
- A scarf (not a woolen one) to prevent cold and easy to dry when wet.
- 3-5 pairs of long, thick socks (avoid low-cut ones).
- Personal items: mosquito repellent, sunglasses, hat, camera, underwear, and personal hygiene items.
Heat retention patch, personal medication, and identification documents.
